How corporate tax works in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan resident companies pay corporate income tax on worldwide income. Non-resident companies are taxed on Uzbekistan-source income through a permanent establishment or withholding tax where no permanent establishment exists.
The general Uzbekistan corporate tax rate is 15%. A 20% CIT rate applies to commercial banks, mobile service providers, producers of cement and polyethylene granules, markets and shopping malls. From 1 June 2026, the small-business threshold for moving to the general VAT and profit-tax regime increased from UZS 1 billion to UZS 5 billion; the applicable simplified regime and exclusions still need checking for the business activity.

Watch out for
- From 1 June 2026, small businesses generally move to the general VAT and profit-tax regime once annual turnover exceeds UZS 5 billion. Importers and certain other businesses can be subject to mandatory VAT rules regardless of turnover.
- From 2025, the 0% CIT export privilege was abolished, and export income is included in the turnover tax base.
- 2026 changes affect e-commerce, transfer pricing, excise duties and VAT exemptions, so online stores, marketplaces and subscription businesses should monitor enacted rules closely.
