Tax system in Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan uses a broad flat-tax model. Resident individuals are taxed on worldwide income at 12% for most income, while non-residents are taxed on Uzbekistan-source income, generally at 12% except for dividends, interest and freight income.

Companies generally pay 15% corporate income tax, with 20% rates for banks, mobile operators, markets and selected sectors. From 1 June 2026, the small-business threshold for moving to the general VAT and profit-tax regime is UZS 5 billion; special mandatory rules can still apply.
